To provide an electrically-driven work machine that suppresses an action of connecting a power supply cable from an external power supply to a machine that is being driven and prevents arc discharge even when the power supply cable is connected.SOLUTION: An electrically-driven hydraulic excavator 1 comprising an electric motor 7 using a commercial power supply 5 and a battery 62 as a driving power source, and a hydraulic actuator using a hydraulic pump 113 driven by the electric motor 7 as a hydraulic source, has: a first power supply mode in which the electric motor 7 is driven while continuing to charge the battery 62 from the commercial power supply 5; and a second power supply mode in which the electric motor 7 is driven only by the battery 62. When a power supply cable 51 for supplying power to the commercial power supply 5 is connected to a power supply port and a rotation of the electric motor 7 is stopped, the second power supply mode is shifted to the first power supply mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
