AERODYNAMICALLY STABLE ROOF PAVEMENT SYSTEM AND BALLAST BLOCK FOR THE SAME
To solve the problem in which a net upward aerodynamic load applied to ballast blocks lifts them up, puts surrounding people and/or a structure in danger, and damages a film of a roof and a lower structure situated further below.SOLUTION: A ballast block comprises a body and a plurality of fluid receiving channels. The body comprises a top surface, a bottom surface disposed opposing to the top surface, and a first side surface extending between the top surface and the bottom surface. The plurality of fluid receiving channels are disposed in a plurality of units along the first side surface, and extend from the top surface to the bottom surface to form a zigzag pattern. Each unit of the plurality of units has an adjacent pair of fluid receiving channels extending substantially in a V shape at an angle opposing toward each other from the top surface to the bottom surface.SELECTED DRAWING: None
