To provide a handrail component whose cost is lower than a conventional one, which can be produced easily and quickly and which is movable.SOLUTION: A projecting type handrail component 1 includes: a support rod 12; a connection member 14 fixed to the support rod; and a lattice unit 16 mounted on the connection member. Two pieces of vertical sash bars 20A or 18 located on left and right both ends of the lattice unit 16 include a rail part 20e or 20f having a first groove part 20c or 20d. The lattice unit 16 is mounted on a frame constituted by the support rod 12 and the connection member 14. The connection member 14 is fixed to the rail part 20e or 20f of the vertical sash bar 20A or 18 in a releasable manner by fixing means 17a, 17b. When the fixing means 17a, 17b are released, the lattice unit 16 is movable along the rail part 20e or 20f.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1a
