To provide a retaining wall of which earthquake resistance and stability are improved, and to provide a block for the retaining wall to construct the retaining wall with improved earthquake resistance and stability.SOLUTION: A block 20 for a retaining wall is provided with: a front surface wall 30 arranged on a front surface side of a retaining wall 10; and a back surface wall 32 arranged on a back surface side of the front surface wall 30 to form a hollow space S which opens in a vertical direction for filling a space between itself and the front surface wall 30 with a filling material 22. A lower side of the back surface wall 32 is inclined toward an outer side. As resistance force in the vertical direction as well as resistance force in a horizontal direction are acted on the block 20 for the retaining wall through friction between the back surface wall 32 and the filling material 22, the retaining wall 10 constructed using the block 20 for the retaining wall is excellent in earthquake resistance and stability.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】耐震性・安定性を向上させた擁壁を提供するとともに、耐震性・安定性を向上させた擁壁を構築するための擁壁用ブロックを提供する。【解決手段】擁壁10の表面側に配される表面壁30と、表面壁30の背面側に配されて自身と表面壁30との間に充填材22を充填させるための上下に開口する空所Sを形成する背面壁32と、を備えた擁壁用ブロック20において、背面壁32を、下方側が外側に向かって傾斜させたものとする。擁壁用ブロック20には、背面壁32と充填材22との間の摩擦によって、上下方向の抵抗力だけでなく、水平方向の抵抗力も作用するため、その擁壁用ブロック20を用いて構築された擁壁10は、耐震性・安定性に優れたものとなる。【選択図】図2
