To provide a ceramic filter that is integrally molded upward opening cylinder type and has a side wall height of 300 mm or more.SOLUTION: A ceramic filter of the present invention is composed of a sintered body of ceramic particles allowing molten metal to pass, and is an upper opened cylinder type integrally molded article, in which its side walls 3 are vertically raised from its bottom wall 5 and the side wall heights are 500 mm or more. In addition, upper edges of an upward opening apertural area are stable to the molten metal and its oxide, and are coated by protective layers 7 composed of material with sintering temperature lower than a temperature of the ceramic particles.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】側壁の高さが300mm以上の、一体成形された上方解放筒型のセラミックフィルタの提供。【解決手段】この発明のセラミックフィルタは、金属溶湯を通湯可能なセラミック粒子の焼結体からなり、一体成型品の上方解放筒型のセラミックフィルタであって、その底壁5から側壁3が垂直に立ち上がり、かつ該側壁の高さが500mm以上である。さらに、上方に開放した開口部の上縁が、前記金属溶湯及びその酸化物に対して安定であって、かつ前記セラミック粒子の焼結温度より低い焼結温度の材料からなる保護膜7で被覆されている。【選択図】図3
