To provide a toilet cleaning apparatus and a toilet cleaning unit capable of supplying more active ingredients to toilet cleaning water.SOLUTION: A toilet 1 comprises a toilet cleaning apparatus 10. The toilet cleaning apparatus 10 comprises a water storage tank (water storage unit) 5, a chlorine source supply unit 12, and an electrode unit 11. Water for toilet flushing is stored in the water storage tank 5. The chlorine source supply unit 12 supplies a chlorine source for generating hypochlorous acid. The electrode unit 11 is disposed in the water storage tank 5 and generates hypochlorous acid from a chlorine source and water.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
