To provide a column base capable of suppressing or preventing cleavage of a foundation of a building without being limited by an attachment position to the foundation of the building.SOLUTION: A column base 10 includes: a column 30 disposed on an upper face of a foundation portion 14, extending in a building vertical direction, and constituting a part of a skeleton of a building 12; a base plate 32 disposed at a lower end portion of the column 30, having a plate thickness direction that is the building vertical direction, and formed to be substantially flat plate shape; a fixing portion 34 formed to be substantially flat plate shape outwardly from an outer peripheral portion of the base plate 32 along a face direction of the base plate 32; and a setting plate 42 which is fixed at a building lower side of the base plate 32 on an upper face of the foundation portion 14 so that a corner portion 42B is positioned at an end portion of the foundation portion 14, which is formed to be substantially flat plate shape with a plate thickness direction that is the building vertical direction, and in which a tilted portion 46 tilted from an inside of a lower face toward the corner portion 42B and a building upper side is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2B
