To provide a rail fastening system which has been improved for fastening railway rails to a track.SOLUTION: A rail fastening system for fastening one rail 2 to a rail foundation structure, preferably a solid track, having a rail bed plate 1 formed to hold the rail 2, and a bed plate 3 formed to fix the rail bed plate 1 to the rail foundation structure, the rail 2 being in contact with the rail bed plate in the assembled state and fixed to the rail bed plate using rail holding portions 1a, 1b, 1c; the rail bed plate 1 being fixed to the bed plate 3 via one or more, preferably two holders 6 in an assembled state; the bed plate 3 being in contact with the rail base structure; and the bed plate 3 being formed from a plurality of parts, preferably two parts, so as to be adjustable to various dimensions of the rail bed plate 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
