To provide a communication fraud prevention system that can suppress a significant drop in user convenience when the battery level of a terminal is low and a communication fraud prevention method.SOLUTION: A monitoring unit 36 monitors the remaining battery level Vx of a terminal 2. A stop unit 37 stops an unauthorized communication detection function in advance when the remaining battery level Vx of the terminal 2 becomes less than a specified amount, and thereafter, causes the terminal 2 to operate a vehicle 1 through second authentication (in this example, wireless verification or immobilizer verification) in which the operation of the terminal 2 is imposed on a user instead of first authentication (smart verification in this example).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
