To provide an expansion joint which enables construction of a pipeline structure allowing easy and efficient expansion and contraction processing, and to provide an expansion pipeline structure.SOLUTION: An expansion joint 10 includes: a first pipe body part 11 formed with a first socket part 11H; a second pipe body part 12 connected to the first pipe body part 11; and a receiving member 15 disposed in the first socket part 11H. The receiving member 15 is formed by a resin foam, has a receiving surface 15A oriented in a pipe axis O direction, and is configured to be expandable or contractable along the pipe axis O.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
