To provide a glass unit that can be simply manufactured, and a method for manufacturing the glass unit.SOLUTION: A glass unit according to the present invention comprises: a first glass plate in which a through hole is formed; a second glass plate which arranged in an opposed manner to the first glass plate at a predetermined distance and forms an internal space with the first glass plate; a sealing material which seals a gap on a peripheral edge between the first glass plate and the second glass plate; a cover which covers the through hole; and an adhesive agent which fixes the cover to the first glass plate, in which the internal space is decompressed to be a vacuum state or predetermined gas is injected into the internal space, and the first glass plate and the cover are fixed by the adhesive agent.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
