HEAT INSULATING MATERIAL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
To provide a heat insulating material capable of preventing occurrence of powder dust and having excellent handling property.SOLUTION: A heat insulating material contains: a ceramic fiber preferably mainly consisting of at least one of PCW, RCF and AES wool; and a glass fiber having a melting point lower than that of the ceramic fiber, preferably having AlOcontent of 0.1 to 30 mass% and SiOcontent of 50 to 70 mass%, and having a softening point in a range of 700 to 1200°C. The content of the ceramic fiber is 45 to 90 mass%, the content of the glass fiber is 3 to 18 mass%, and inorganic fine particles having a median particle diameter (D50) of 20 to 100 μm are suitably contained.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】 粉塵が発生しにくく且つハンドリング性に優れた断熱材を提供する。【解決手段】 主成分として好ましくはPCW、RCF、及びAESウールのうちの少なくとも1種からなるセラミック繊維と、該セラミック繊維よりも低融点の好ましくはAl2O3含有率0.1〜30質量%、SiO2含有率50〜70質量%であり、軟化点700〜1200℃の範囲内にあるガラス繊維とを含有する断熱材であって、該セラミック繊維の含有率が45〜90質量%であり、該ガラス繊維の含有率が3〜18質量%であり、好適には中心粒径(D50)20〜100μmの無機微粒子を含有する。【選択図】 なし
