To provide an advance/retreat device which can lock movement at a retreat position of an advance/retreat member with a simple structure.SOLUTION: An advance/retreat device 1 includes: an advance/retreat member 3 which can advance/retreat between the advance position and the retreat position with respect to a case 2; an advance/retreat member side member 4 which has an engagement part 42 and a fitting part 41; a lock member 5 which has an engagement object part 51a and moves between the engagement position and the retreat position; and a biasing member 6 which biases the lock member 5 in the direction toward the engagement position. The retreat position of the lock member 5 is provided at a position that is overlapped with the advance/retreat member 3 in the shaft X direction of the advance/retreat member 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A
