To provide a block which is used for constructing a structure and whose manufacturing cost can be suppressed to a low price.SOLUTION: In a block 2 according to the present invention, one or a plurality of solid matters obtained by compressing a material containing a waste matter into a prescribed shape are sealed by a cement material. The blocks 2 comprise a plurality of pairs of protrusions 26 and recesses 27 having a shape that can be fitted into the protrusions 26 and being located on an opposite side to the protrusions 26 on an outer surface. At least one pair of protrusion 26 and recess 27 is provided respectively on front and rear side surfaces 20, 21 and on right and left side surfaces 22, 23. The protrusion 26 and the recess 27 in each pair extend over a height of whole length of the side surfaces 20-23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
