COATING APPLICATOR
To provide a coating applicator hardly affected by the viscosity of a coating material, capable of easily and stably feeding the coating material on a coated surface and capable of coating the coating material so as to become the targeted construction width A and construction thickness B.SOLUTION: An objective coating applicator comprises a storage part 4 in which a coating material-feeding port 5 is provided, and leveling means 6 leveling off the surface of the coating material 3 fed on a face 2 to be coated. The leveling means 6 has a leveling face 61a inclining below as heading for rearward Y in a direction of movement. The coating material-feeding port 5 comprises a lower opening part 51 opening directly toward the face 2 to be coated at the lower end of the storage part 4, and a rear opening part 52 continuing into the lower opening part 51 and provided on the face of the rearward Y in the movement direction of the storage part 4. An opening width C in the rear opening part 52 is narrower than a construction width A, and an opening height D in the rear opening part 52 is larger than a construction thickness B. Besides, the value (E/F) obtained by dividing an opening area E in the rear opening part 52 by a target cross section F (A×B) of the coating material 3 to be coated on the face 2 to be coated is 1.0 or more and 2.0 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
