To provide a smartphone key system for use with a vehicle which is capable of improving the safety of vehicle operation by a second smartphone on the premise of using the second smartphone to which the use authority of the vehicle is given by an owner of the smartphone.SOLUTION: A smartphone key system for use with a vehicle according to the present invention which is configured to enable the operation of various devices of a vehicle A with the use of a second smartphone Bx for which the use authority of the vehicle is granted by an owner of a smartphone B, includes individual identifying means 5 for identifying an individual who has gotten in the vehicle A through the second smartphone Bx, and control range changing means 15 for changing a control range of the device that the second smartphone Bx can use depending on the identified individual.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
