To provide a ceiling structure of a building and a construction method for the ceiling structure of the building, which can reduce the impact noise from an upper floor and improve the workability of installation.SOLUTION: A ceiling structure 100 of a building according to the present disclosure comprises: an upper structure; a ceiling 3 provided below the upper structure and having a ceiling plate 3a and a ceiling joist 7; and a sound absorbing body 4 mounted on the ceiling 3. The sound absorbing body 4 has a granular body and a plurality of containers that house the granular body and are connected in the arrangement direction of the ceiling joist 7, and is arranged so as to straddle the plurality of ceiling joists 7, wherein the proportion of a laid area is higher in an arrangement direction central portion than in an arrangement direction outer side portion of the ceiling joist.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
