To provide an automatic door system that prevents collision of a pedestrian to a door.SOLUTION: There is provided an automatic door system comprising: a detection unit that detects a person or an object in a preliminary area which is a part of a detection area and is provided in an area other than that used for causing a door to perform opening operation; a driving unit that opens and closes the door; and a control unit that causes the driving unit to lower closing speed of the door when the detection unit detects the person or the object in the preliminary area during closing operation of the door.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
