To accurately and effectively perform switching of flow channels in inspection work.SOLUTION: A fire hydrant for a road includes a switch valve for switching flow channels of fire-fighting water from an inflow port to a first flow channel used in fire-fighting activity or to a second flow channel connected to an inspection device. The switch valve includes a valve lid that rotatingly moves between a first position for passing water through the first flow channel and a second position for passing water through the second flow channel, a first pressing member for pressing the valve lid to the first position, a valve box for storing the valve lid, and a valve moving member connected to the valve lid, which is disposed protruding from the valve box in a direction of the second flow channel from the valve lid. When the inspection device is connected, a second pressing member provided in the center of the flow channel of the inspection device presses the valve moving member so that the valve lid is rotated and pressed to the second position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
