To enhance shear capacity without increasing shear rigidity of an existing concrete wall.SOLUTION: An earthquake strengthening structure 10 includes: an existing frame 20 that has a pair of existing columns 22, and upside and downside existing beams 80U and 80L erected between the pair of existing columns 22; an existing concrete wall 30 that is provided within the existing frame 20 and joined to the upside and downside existing beams 80U and 80L; and a beam-like additional reinforcement part 82 that is provided for the existing concrete wall 30 and that decreases a shear-span ratio of the existing concrete wall 30 by forming a beam laid across the pair of existing columns 22 together with an upper part 30U of the existing concrete wall 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
