To reduce man-hours for assembling while realizing desired locking functions using one spring member.SOLUTION: A glove box lock device includes: a base member that is attached to a glove box and has an axis section extending vertically; a knob member that is supported rotatably between a closed position and an opened position about the axis section of the base member; an arm member in which the center in the longitudinal direction is supported by the base member so as to be swingable, and one end of which contacts the knob member, and that swings between a locked position and an unlocked position of the glove box; and a spring member that is fitted onto the axis section rotatably, and one end of which is locked by the knob member and the other end of which is locked by the other end of the arm member, and that generates biasing forces for rotating the knob member to the closed position and swinging the arm member to the locked position. An axis rotational direction for which the one end of the spring member rotates the knob member to the closed position and an axis rotational direction for which the other end of the spring member swings the arm member to the locked position are opposite to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
