To provide a decorative frame mounting structure for windows and a decorative frame mounting method for windows, which enable easy mounting of a decorative frame to the periphery of a window.SOLUTION: A decorative frame mounting structure for windows provided around a window 200 of a house comprises: a structure 10 such as a pillar or a beam of the house arranged around the window 200; a furring strip 120 arranged on an outdoor side of the structure 10 at a predetermined interval so as to surround the periphery of the window 200; an outer wall panel 110 arranged on an outdoor side the furring strip 120 so as to surround the periphery of the window 200; and a decorative frame 100 covering a part of the outer wall panel 110 and arranged around the window 200. A position of an outer wall panel end 110t on the window 200 side of the outer wall panel 110 is located at a predetermined distance W away from a window end 200t of the window 200 so as to create a gap S. Spacers 210 and 220 are arranged in the gap S, and the decorative frame 100 covers the spacer 210 and also covers a part of the outer wall panel 110 so as to include the outer wall panel end portion 110t.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
