SLIDING DOOR DRIVE DEVICE AND SLIDING DOOR
To provide a sliding door drive device and a sliding door that can reduce the movement force of a door body when the sliding door pinches a person or object.SOLUTION: A sliding door drive device 10 comprises a fixed frame 11, a movable frame 12 that is linked to the fixed frame 11 movably to indoor and outdoor sides, a biasing device 13 that biases the movable frame 12 to the fixed frame 11, a motor unit 14 that is attached to the movable frame 12, and a friction roller 15 that is linked to the motor unit 14. A peripheral surface 151 of the friction roller 15 is formed on the outdoor surface of a door body so as to be able to frictionally contact the outdoor surface. The biasing device 13 comprises an adjustment rod 131 that is attached to the fixed frame 11, and a spring member 132. The adjustment rod 131 includes a nut 135 that receives the spring member 132, and the position of the nut 135 can be adjusted to the indoor and outdoor sides.
