To enhance convenience of a door automatic closing system.SOLUTION: The door automatic closing system comprises an outside vehicle capturing unit 31 for capturing surroundings of the outside vehicle side of a door 2 of a vehicle 1, a door locking unit 40 for locking the door into a closed state, a drive unit 50 for closing the door, an outside vehicle operation unit 61 to which an opening door operation is input and a controller 70 for authorizing identification information of a portable terminal 21 the vehicle user owns and for controlling the door locking unit 40 and the drive unit 50. The controller 70 detects a transverse width of the vehicle user using the captured image acquired by the outside vehicle capturing unit 31 in the state where identification information is authorized, determines an opened degree of the door 2 based on the detected transverse width and when the door opening operation is input into the outside vehicle operation unit 61, controls the door locking unit 40 and the drive unit 50 and opens the door 2 to the determined opened degree.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
