PORTABLE MACHINE POSITION ESTIMATION SYSTEM AND ON-VEHICLE MACHINE
To provide a portable machine position estimation system that can accurately estimate the position of a portable machine even when it is outside of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A portable machine position estimation system performs the steps of: determining a key distance D, which is a distance between an on-vehicle antenna and an electronic key, with respect to three or more on-vehicle antennas, based on an RSSI of a radio wave received by the electronic key (S150); estimating a key position based on the key distance D (S160); when the key position is outside of a vehicle (S170: YES), determining newly a calibrated key distance Dc in the case that the RSSI, with reference to at least one of the three or more on-vehicle antennas, is a calibrated RSSI calibrated in consideration of a radio wave attenuation due to a metal portion of a vehicle body (S190); and estimating newly the key position using the calibrated key distance Dc (S200).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
