SAND MOLD FOR CASTING AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
To provide a sand mold for casting and a method for manufacturing the sand mold that reduces chipping in a corner of a contact surface with a casting of a sand mold for casting, and provides a casting having a small number of unnecessary protrusions in a corner of the casting.SOLUTION: A sand mold for casting comprises at least sand and a binder. At least a part of a corner of a contact surface of the sand mold for casting is an R-face or a C-face. A dimension of the R-face or C-face is 5 times or more as large as a mode diameter of the powder material constituting the sand mold. It is thus possible to obtain the sand mold for casting having few chippings in the corner of the contact surface of the sand mold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
