To reduce the weight and size of a lifting mechanism part as a whole without using a heavy one so as to reduce labor at the time of transportation and installation on site.SOLUTION: A hand-push rail reprofiling device is provided with a truck body 11, a rail reprofiling part 12 rotatably connected to the truck body 11 via a first rotary shaft 11f extending in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of a rail R so that a grinding belt 12h passed between a grinding belt driving roller 12f and a grinding belt driven roller 12g is rotated by the driving source 12a such as an engine or a motor to reprofile a surface of the rail R, and a lifting mechanism part 13 for rotatably moving the rail reprofiling part 12 up and down with respect to the truck body 11 via the first rotating shaft 11f. The rail reprofiling part 12 is provided with a belt pressing plate 12j that presses the grinding belt 12h against the rail R between the grinding belt driving roller 12f and the grinding belt driven roller 12g, the pressing plate 12j being swingably provided via a swing shaft 12i11 extending parallel to the first rotation shaft 11f.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
