To enable the execution of the retrieval of paper money, internal maintenance work of every kind, various kinds of operations and the like, without reference to surrounding conditions of an island location subjected to installation.SOLUTION: A paper money recovery safe is installed so that a paper money storage part B1 of a paper money recovery unit B can be protruded forward from an opening 1a and exposed from a box body 1. An opening/closing door 2 for opening/closing the opening of the box body, in which a storage recess 20b for housing the paper money storage part protruded from the opening is provided in a surface plate 2a of the opening/closing door directly facing the opening in a closed state, is pivotally supported by having a shaft 20 parallel to a width direction of the box body on the lower end side of the opening.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
