To provide a rail binding member for binding which stabilizes even when rails are stacked, and prevents damage of the rails by a belt-shaped binding member.SOLUTION: There is provided a rail binding member 120 for binding a plurality of juxtaposed rails, the rail binding member comprising an upper stage part 1201 and a lower stage part 1202, the upper stage part 1201 and the lower stage part 1202 are parallel to the longitudinal direction, a difference in angles between the upper stage part 1201 and the lower stage part 1202 in the width direction is 10 degrees or less, and the upper stage part and the lower stage part are substantially horizontal to a head tangential line of the plurality of juxtaposed rails, the width of the lower stage part 1202 is more than twice the width of a belt-shaped member 31 used for binding of the rails, the width of the upper stage part 1201 is 100 mm or more, a difference in height between the upper stage part 1201 and the lower stage part 1202 is 15 mm or more, and the rail binding member satisfies an equation (1) n×d2≥L1≥(n-1)×d2+d1, where n denotes the number of rails to be bound, d1 denotes the rail head width, d2 denotes the rail bottom width, and L1 denotes the length of the rail binding member 120.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
