OPENING RESTRICTION DEVICE FOR SLIDING SASH
To provide an opening restriction device for a sliding sash capable of ensuring high security and safety without requiring special attention by a user.SOLUTION: This apparatus is made up of a device body 16 and a block body 18 which are attached to sliding sashes 12(1) and 12(2), respectively. The device body 16 is provided with a stopper member to which its block body locking part is attached so as to be displaceable between an opening limit position and an opening possible position. A stopper member returning mechanism is provided for urging a specific part of the stopper member to displace a block body locking part to an opening limit position (set to an open limit mode). The device is provided with a stopper member retreating mechanism for moving the stopper member by an operation conducted by a user to displace the block body locking part to an openable position (set to a releasable mode). When the user returns from a sliding sash open state to a sliding sash closed state, the device body 16 automatically returns from the openable mode to the open limit mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
