METHOD FOR PRODUCING CERAMIC HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE
To provide a method for producing a ceramic honeycomb structure, capable of preventing internal defects from occurring on a partition wall on the periphery of a mesh-shielded part.SOLUTION: A method for producing a ceramic honeycomb structure includes: a mesh-shielding step of mesh-shielding an end part of a cell 11 on a side of a first end face 10a of a ceramic honeycomb molded body 100 or on a side of a second end face 10b thereof, the ceramic honeycomb molded body including partition walls 12 for partitioning and then forming the plurality of cells 11 extending from the first end face 10a to the second end face 10b; a tray-mounting step of mounting the first end face 10a of the ceramic honeycomb molded body 100 on a tray 20 with the first end face facing downward; a lid-arranging step of arranging a lid member 30 on the second end face 10b of the ceramic honeycomb molded body 100 to completely cover the second end face 10b; and a firing step of putting the ceramic honeycomb molded body 100 in a firing furnace together with the tray 20 and then perform firing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
