SLIDING BEARING
To provide a sliding bearing having a function for attenuating energy in addition to a function for supporting an upper structure movably in a horizontal direction.SOLUTION: In a sliding bearing 20 disposed between an upper structure 12 and a lower structure 14, and supporting the upper structure 12 horizontally movably on the lower structure 14, the sliding bearing 20 includes a leg portion 22 projected from the upper structure 12 in a manner that its lower end is applied as a downward sliding face 26A, and a container 32 disposed on the lower structure 14 and housing the leg portion 22. The container 32 has a bottom plate portion 36 having an upward sliding face 36A kept into contact with the downward sliding face 26A and supporting a load of the upper structure 12, and a peripheral wall portion 38 erected from a periphery of the bottom plate portion 36, a magnetic viscous fluid F in which the leg portion 22 is immersed, is housed in the container 32, viscosity of the magnetic viscous fluid F is changed by changing magnetic field applied to the magnetic viscous fluid F, and a coil 50 is disposed as a magnetic field application portion for adjusting resistance of the magnetic viscous fluid F to the leg portion 22 in moving the leg portion 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
