To provide a ceramic filter and its manufacturing method capable of restraining a pressure drop increase quantity.SOLUTION: A ceramic filter 90 of the present invention has an outer peripheral wall 70, and a porous partition wall arranged on the inside of the outer peripheral wall 70 and dividing and forming a plurality of cells forming a flow passage penetrating from an inflow surface 91 (one end surface) up to a flow out surface 92 (another end surface). The cells include: a plurality of first cells opening on the end surface side of the inflow surface 91 (the one end surface) and having a mesh sealing part on the flow out surface 92 (the other end surface) side; and a plurality of second cells opening on the flow out surface 92 (the other end surface) side and having a mesh sealing part on the inflow surface 91 (the one end surface) side.
