To provide a water cut-off structure for a water tank and a drain trap and a water cut-off method for the water tank and the drain trap, which can further improve water cut-off performance.SOLUTION: A water cut-off structure 100 for a water tank 1 and a drain trap 3 comprises: a water tank flange part 20 that extends downward from a bottom 11 of the water tank 1 toward an opening part 13 side; a trap upper outward wall part 35 that is provided on a top part of the drain trap 3, extends outward in a radial direction and is arranged above the water tank flange part 20; and a water cut-off member 4 that is arranged between the water tank flange part 20 and the trap upper outward wall part 35, wherein two surfaces 21a, 22a of the water tank flange part 20 are in contact with the water cut-off member 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
