To confirm existence of a coarse article at a timing when the coarse article stays.SOLUTION: A dust remover 10 has: a screen 20 inserted to a water passage W1; a rake 30 which is arranged on the upstream side of the screen 20, ascends a contaminant dammed by the screen 20 and discharges the contaminant to the outside of the water passage W1; a rake driving part which is arranged on the upstream side of the screen 20, and circulates and drives the rake 30 in an extension direction of the screen 20; an arm 70 which acts as a rotation mechanism part for rotating the rake 30 so as to avoid the contaminant when a load applied to the rake 30 is large; and a rotation detection member 80 which acts as a rotation detection mechanism part for detecting operation of the rotation mechanism part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
