To provide a furring strip having a structure in which heat is hardly transferred between a lower wall material and an outer wall material to suppress the occurrence of dew condensation and a screw (nail) to be mounted is hardly corroded.SOLUTION: A furring strip 1 of the present invention has a main body 1A having a rectangular cross section and extending in the longitudinal direction, and is integrally formed of synthetic resin. The main body 1A is provided with a large number of through holes 3 formed in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, and a large number of flanges 5 formed adjacent to each other on a side facing a lower wall material and/or on a side facing an outer wall material; the flange 5 is fixed between the lower wall material and the outer wall material in line contact with the front surface of the lower wall material and/or the rear surface of the outer wall material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
