To provide an electric shielding device allowing reduction of space, simplification of wiring, cost reduction, improved reaction speed and reduction of maintenance frequency.SOLUTION: The electric horizontal blind comprises a tilt shaft 11, a motor 10, a controller and rotation prevention means, the controller controls an operation of the motor 10, the tilt shaft 11 is configured to rotate along with rotation of the motor, the rotation prevention means is configured to be capable of mechanically preventing the tilt shaft 11 from rotating and when an abnormal value of an output of an encoder 11a for detecting an abnormal value of a motor current for driving the motor 10 during rotation of the tilt shaft 11 or a rotation of the tilt shaft is detected, the controller determines whether the abnormal value is due to a mechanical rotation prevention or not.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
