To provide a dielectric porcelain composition which can increase the reliability and a multilayer ceramic capacitor containing the same.SOLUTION: A multilayer ceramic capacitor comprises a dielectric porcelain composition containing a BaTiO3-based base material primary component and subcomponents. In the multilayer ceramic capacitor, the subcomponents include as a first subcomponent, dysprosium (Dy) and niobium (Nb). A total content of dysprosium (Dy) and niobium (Nb) is over 0.2 mole and equal to or less than 1.5 mol to 100 mol of titanium (Ti) in the base material primary component.SELECTED DRAWING: None
