CARBON FOAM
To provide a carbon foam that is unlikely to fall into a flow path or break during cell assembly.SOLUTION: The carbon foam of the present invention includes linear portions and connecting portions that connect the linear portions, and the linear portions have an average fiber diameter of 0.1 to 5.0 μm, and a Taber flexural rigidity measured in accordance with JIS P8125 of 10 gf cm or more. Further, in at least a part of the carbon foam of the present invention, when defining an average value of an orientation angle of the linear portions with respect to a x-direction as θavex, an average value of an orientation angle with respect to a y-direction as θavey, and an average value of an orientation angle with respect to a z-direction as θavez, difference θc between a maximum value and a minimum value in each of the θavex, the θavey and the θavez is preferably 3° or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
