To suppress interference between a work tool such as a bucket and a boom side.SOLUTION: A hydraulic system of a work machine comprises: a boom cylinder; a work tool cylinder; a boom control valve that can switch the boom cylinder between an ascending position and a descending position; a work tool control valve that can switch the work tool cylinder between a first operating position and a second operating position; first and second oil passages that supply and discharge hydraulic oil to the boom cylinder; third and fourth oil passages that supply and discharge hydraulic oil to the work tool cylinder; a first relief valve that is provided in a first bypass oil passage connecting the first oil passage and the fourth oil passage, allows hydraulic oil from the fourth oil passage to the first oil passage, and blocks hydraulic oil from the first oil passage to the fourth oil passage; and a second relief valve that is provided in a second bypass oil passage connecting the second oil passage and the third oil passage, allows hydraulic oil from the third oil passage to the second oil passage, and blocks hydraulic oil from the second oil passage to the third oil passage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
