METHOD FOR SUPPRESSING GENERATION OF HYDROGEN SULFIDE FROM BOTTOM SEDIMENT
To provide a low-cost, long-term, and stable method to suppress hydrogen sulfide generated from bottom sediment.SOLUTION: A method for suppressing generation of hydrogen sulfide from the bottom sediment includes immersion of a composite containing iron and carbon in water to generate iron ions by a local battery effect and a continuous supply of generated iron ions to the bottom sediment surface by changing them into iron hydroxide by dissolved oxygen and settling them. For example, a net-like housing 20 containing the iron-carbon composite is installed within a depth D1 of 50 cm or more with respect to a water surface 100a, and a distance D2 from a bottom 101 of 50 cm or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】底質から発生する硫化水素を低コストで長期間、かつ安定的に抑制できる方法を提供する。【解決手段】 底質からの硫化水素の発生抑制方法は、鉄と炭素を含む複合体を水中に浸漬して、局部電池効果により鉄イオンを発生せしめ、発生した鉄イオンを溶存酸素によって水酸化鉄に変化させて沈降させることによって、底質表面に連続的に供給する。例えば、鉄−炭素複合体を収容した網状の収容体20を、水面100aを基準として、深さD1が50cm以上であり、かつ、水底101からの距離D2が50cm以上の水深の範囲内に設置する。【選択図】図3
