DRIFT SAND COLLECTION DEVICE AND DRIFT SAND COLLECTION METHOD
To provide a drift sand collection device capable of accurately grasping the movement of sediment under the action of a tsunami.SOLUTION: The drift sand collection device includes: a cylindrical body 5 with a bottom, which has a drift sand collection port 3 at the top end for accumulating invading drift sand 4 inside; and a cap 6 that is configured to, in a standby state, close the drift sand collection port 3 of the cylindrical body 5, and when submerged, to be taken off from the cylindrical body 5 to open the drift sand collection port 3 in water. The drift sand collection device is installed upright at the drift sand measurement point 2 where a tsunami is expected to hit. The drift sand collection device is configured so that the cap 6 closing the drift sand collection port 3 provided at the top of cylindrical body 5 is removed by the buoyancy when submerged or the force received from the water flow to open the drift sand collection port; to thereby collect drift sand 4 that is rolled up and moved by the tsunami is settled and deposited in the cylindrical body 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】津波作用下における土砂類の移動を正確に把握する。【解決手段】上端に漂砂採取口3を有し、侵入する漂砂4を内部に堆積させる有底の筒状本体5と、待機状態では筒状本体5の漂砂採取口3を塞ぎ、水没時に筒状本体5から外れて漂砂採取口3を水中に開口させるキャップ6とを備える漂砂捕集装置であって、該漂砂捕集装置を津波の襲来が予測される漂砂計測地点2に立てて設置し、筒状本体5の上端に設けられている漂砂採取口3を塞ぐキャップ6を水没時の浮力又は水流から受ける力によって外して漂砂採取口を開口させ、津波によって巻き上げられ移動させられる漂砂4を筒状本体5内に沈降させて堆積させることで捕集するようにしている。【選択図】図1
