To provide a material in which the blending of a silicide and Si3 N4 powder is performed in the presence of oxide particles in order to control the final microstructure and enhance mechanical properties.SOLUTION: A silicide-based composite material comprises a silicide of Mo, B, W, Nb, Ta, Ti, Cr, Co, Y, or a combination thereof, Si3 N4, and at least one oxide selected from the group consisting of yttrium oxides, cerium oxides, and combinations thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
