To provide a drum type container rotating device capable of easily performing work for housing a treated object in a container and work for discharging the treated object, and reducing a problem of noise.SOLUTION: A configuration of a drum type container rotating device 1 comprises: a drum type container 10 having a plurality of small hole parts penetrating through a peripheral wall part and having an opening formed in a part of the peripheral wall part and a lid part 20 for opening/closing the opening; a horizontal main shaft part; a pair of arms 45 rotating integrally with the main shaft part and rotatably supporting the container; a liquid tank 61 opened upward; a first motor for rotating a pair of arms by driving a forward or reverse rotation of the main shaft part to displace the container between an in-tank posture in which the container is positioned inside the liquid tank and an out-tank posture in which the container is positioned outside the liquid tank; and a drum rotation mechanism M2 for rotating the drum type container regardless of a rotation angle of the pair of arms accompanying the rotation of the main shaft part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
