BRACE
To provide a brace causing little loss of the restriction capacity of a wooden stiffening member to a core member.SOLUTION: A brace (10) has an elongated steel core member (24) having both ends (24A) and multiple wooden stiffening members (26) sandwiching the core member between both ends thereof and extended in the longitudinal direction or a groove (38) receiving the core member between both ends. The brace has one wooden stiffening member extended in the longitudinal direction of the core member, and one or multiple binding members (28) spirally wound around the multiple stiffening members or one stiffening member and applying a tightening force to the multiple stiffening members or one stiffening member from the periphery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
