To provide a surface wood column which is easy to manufacture and inexpensive, and to provide its manufacturing method.SOLUTION: A surface wood column 1 of the present invention comprises a hollow column 3 having a square cross section and having a hollow space 3H having a square cross section formed by joining the long side edge sides of three or more long square wooden plate materials 2, 2..., and a filler (reinforced concrete 4) provided in the hollow space 3H of the hollow column 3 and integrated with the hollow column 3. Further, it is preferable that the inner surface of the hollow column coming into contact with the filler is formed into an uneven surface, or a projecting member projecting into the hollow space from the inner surface of the hollow column coming into contact with the filler is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】製造が容易で、かつ、安価な表面木質柱、及び、その製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の表面木質柱１は、３枚以上の長尺な四角形状の木製板材２，２…の長辺縁側同士が接合されて形成された断面角形の中空空間３Ｈを有した断面角形の中空柱３と、当該中空柱３の中空空間３Ｈに設けられて当該中空柱３と一体化された充填物（鉄筋コンクリート４）と、を備えたことを特徴とする。また、充填物と接触する中空柱の内面を凹凸面としたり、充填物と接触する中空柱の内面より中空空間に突出する突出部材を備えた構成とすることが好ましい。【選択図】図１
