To provide a masking sound generation method from booths for portable terminal capable of reducing discomfort caused by masking sounds by generating a masking sound from booths for portable terminals.SOLUTION: A masking sound generation method is a method of generating a masking sound from each of multiple booths 100 for portable terminal installed close to each other. The masking sound is a meaningful sound with a clear flow of time, and the masking sounds generated from multiple booths for portable terminal are synchronous with each other. This masking sound is either a piece of music, human voices, bird chirping, or the sound of waves on a sandy shore.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
