To provide a highly reliable operation detection device in which no stress is applied to a control unit provided in a housing of the operation detection device even if a hand comes into contact with the housing.SOLUTION: The above problem is solved by an operation detection device characterized by having an outer case, an inner case, an electrostatic sensor installed inside the case formed by the outer case and the inner case, and a control unit connected to the electrostatic sensor, and applies a voltage to the electrostatic sensor and measures electrostatic capacitance by means of the control unit, in which the inner case is provided with a through hole at a portion different from the detection surface with which an operating body comes into contact, and a mounting member formed of an elastic material is attached to the through hole, and the control unit is mounted in an installation hole provided in the mounting member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
