To provide a cable storage container and cable storage container installation method that can effectively prevent the subsidence of a paved road around a cable storage container buried in the paved road even when the upper part is exposed to the ground surface.SOLUTION: A cable storage container 1 buried in a ground surface G being a pavement road 5 formed by a pavement layer 51, comprises: a container body 10 buried in an underground U and storing a power line 2 and a communication line 3; a lid 20 placed on the top of the container body 10; and a reinforcement member 40 engaged with the container body 10 or the lid 20 so as to be located on the side of the lid 20 and being at least partially embedded in the pavement layer 51.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
