To provide a safety system for a pile driver that can ensure the safety of a worker engaged in pile driving work by quickly stopping the rotary drive of an auger in an emergency.SOLUTION: In a safety system of a pile driver equipped with a safety circuit that stops ascending/descending operation of an auger in response to an operation signal of an emergency stop switch 36, a portable engine generator 23 is mounted on a rear frame 24 of an upper revolving body 13 as a power source for rotationally driving the auger. The safety circuit comprises a communicator capable of wireless communication with the portable engine generator. In response to reception of the operation signal of the emergency stop switch, a stop signal for stopping the power supply from the portable engine generator is generated. Further, the emergency stop switches are provided at a plurality of locations on the upper revolving body, and include an operator switch that can be operated from an operator's cab and a worker switch that can be operated from the ground.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
